The Pistons win the series 4-1 and go on to face the winner of Boston/Indiana. The 76ers end a good season with Allen Iverson grabbing the NBA scoring title, and the young players gaining much needed playoff experience. After losing the first game 106-85, the 76ers played horrible down the stretch and lost 99-84. The 76ers get their two games at home beginning on Friday. Jon Lieber picked up the win with a great performance. Kenny Lofton had a 3-run home run, and Pat Burrell was perfect at the plate going 3-3. This series against the Nationals continues April 5th and 6th.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sixers News: &lt;a href="http://www.nba.com/games/20050403/PHIBOS/recap.html"&gt;The 76ers won in Boston on Sunday afternoon, 97-93&lt;/a&gt;. This allowed the 76ers to trail the Celtics by only 3 games for the Atlantic Division title with 9 games remaining in the season. During the game, 76ers forward Kyle Korver broke the team's single season three-point record with 198 made. The Sixers still own a playoff spot in the 8th hole, and trail the Cavaliers and Pacers by 2.5 games for 6th.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Eagles News: &lt;a href="http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/homeNewsDetail.jsp?id=25778"&gt;The Eagles are getting ready for the 2005 NFL Draft on April 23rd and 24th&lt;/a&gt;. The Eagles have 13 picks with 5 of those in the top 94 picks. On the rumor mill, Eagles WR Freddie Mitchell should be gone by draft day. No Joke took the L in the championship on Monday night. Looking back on the four year run of No Joke Intramural Team, we had a nasty record of 42-8, two championships, and a semifinalist in the regional tournament.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/img/90/3737/640/beastsw02mgbb.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="border: 1px solid rgb(0, 0, 0); margin: 2px;" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/img/90/3737/320/beastsw02mgbb.jpg" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;                   The 1st Squad&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This season was one of the best. Through all the injuries and dismantling, we managed to make our way to the championship. Although we didn't win, it was fun to play ball with some of my closest friends. Big ups to Fox, Price, B, Weez, Big Jay, Fibbs, Baran, Tommy Luc, Matty O., Trip, Matt, Chris, Greg, Other Jay, Jack G.. Calio, Skidz, Boz, the groupies (u know who you are), and anyone else I forgot. Lots of love here. Local teams, #13 seed UPenn and #5 seed Villanova, get ready for their first round matchups on Thursday and Friday.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pro Basketball: 76ers are only mediocre with the new addition of superstar, Chris Webber. The 76ers are playing .500 basketball since Webber was acquired, but are still in the hunt for the playoffs was 27 games remaining.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pro Football: The Eagles are not making much noise in the free agency market this year. After re-signing LB Jeremiah Trotter, RB Brian Westbrook, RB&lt;span class="copy"&gt;&lt;span class="textSm"&gt; Correll Buckhalter&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;, DL Corey Simon and DL Hugh Douglas, the Eagles went into the pool to &lt;a href="http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/homeNewsDetail.jsp?id=24973"&gt;sign back-up QB Michael McMahon&lt;/a&gt;.  The Eagles did take some hits this week by losing Pro-Bowl LB Ike Resse, DL &lt;span class="copy"&gt;&lt;span class="textSm"&gt;Derrick Burgess and veteran OL &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="copy"&gt;&lt;span class="textSm"&gt;Jermane Mayberry.  The Eagles plan to use the draft to replace these positions.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Baseball:  Put the steroids aside because the Phils are shining in Spring Training.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;The Phillies outclassed the Blue Jays en route to a &lt;a href="http://philadelphia.phillies.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20050314&amp;content_id=966830&amp;amp;vkey=spt2005gamer&amp;fext=.jsp&amp;amp;c_id=phi"&gt;10-8 victory &lt;/a&gt;on Monday afternoon at Bright House Networks Field. Kyle Korver took second in the three point shootout in the skills competition and hit seven threes in the rookie sophmore game on Friday. 76ers rookie Andre Igoudola also competed in the rookie sophmore game on Friday. The 76ers hit the court onThursday to play the Knicks in Madison Square Garden.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Eagles News - As off-season begins and the &lt;a href="http://www.nfl.com/draft"&gt;NFL draft&lt;/a&gt; is appoaching, there are good odds that the Eagles will be right back in the 2006 Super Bowl. After addressing their own free agent needs with players such as Jeremiah Trotter, Derrick Burgess, Ike Resse, Brain Westbrook, and Chad Lewis, they may look to the draft and free-agent market to look for offensive line, defensive line, and wide reciever position.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Phillies News - The Phillies are down in Clearwater, FL beginning their spring training. They have a promising season in trying to make a run to the pennant.
